EGL-2700 Comics and Graphic Novels 3 Credits This course is an introduction to comic books and graphic novels. Comic books and graphic novels, prominent in popular culture, are increasingly becoming the focus of scholarly, academic study, due to literary and artistic innovations. Through the study of comics and graphic literature, students will analyze and synthesize different perspectives in the Liberal Arts (art, literature, history, philosophy, political science, and music). As a culminating experience course, students will develop a portfolio of writing projects that weave together multiple perspectives in the Liberal Arts concentration of General Studies. Prerequisite(s): EGL 1010 and EGL 1020 .
