MAT-2170 Applied Calculus II 3 Credits Second course in a two-semester sequence of applied calculus for business and social and life sciences majors. Topics include differentiation and integration of trigonometric functions, techniques of integration, improper integrals, functions of several variables, introduction to differential equations, Taylor polynomials, infinite series, and applications including probability theory. Prerequisite(s): MAT-2160 or MAT-2410 with grade of C or higher. Note: All mathematics courses require extensive use of a computer and/or a graphing calculator. In addition, all math courses have a prerequisite of reading proficiency. (Offered spring only.)
