TRF-2700 Capstone Production


Credits 3
This course is a directed study course in which students use the semester to complete a major production, building on work that was completed in previous courses.  The final production can be in the format of their choice (studio or field) and will reflect the application of advanced skills received in that particular medium. 
Prerequisite(s): TRF-1330   or TRF-1410   or permission of department.
2 class/3 lab hours.
Course Outcomes
  1. Create film, video or audio production treatment or proposal.
  2. Prepare a script, outline and/or storyboard for the project.
  3. Develop a budget for the project.
  4. Assemble, organize, and maintain a production notebook.
  5. Handle lights, camera, and/or audio production equipment to shoot production either in studio or in the field.
  6. Produce and direct a completed video or audio project.
  7. Assemble (edit) the material recorded into a finished project.
  8. Output completed video to DVD, digital formats (Flash, QuickTime, MP4), or web distribution.
