BMT-2880 Emergency Management


Credits 3
Provides individuals and organizations with tools to prepare for and recover from both natural and man-made disasters. Students will gain an understanding of risk and crisis management, the need for business continuity and information assurance planning, as well as addressing the leadership, human, organizational and public policy components of disasters. The final project will be a disaster recovery management plan.
Prerequisite(s): Reading proficiency.
Formerly offered as MGT-2880. Students may not receive credit for both MGT-2880 and BMT-2880.
(Not offered summer.)

  1. Define emergency management.
  2. Identify emergency management scenarios in the workplace.
  3. Evaluate a disaster recovery management plan.
  4. Describe the steps of an emergency management plan.
