The study of victimization, crime typologies, and the impact of crime on victims, offenders, and society.
Prerequisite(s): Reading proficiency.
Course Outcomes
  1. Identify key concepts and theories in violent behavior and victimization.
  2. Discuss the offender - victim relationship in different types of crimes.
  3. Describe the various programs, resources, and preventative measures to aid victims of crime.
  4. Analyze the criminal justice system’s response to victims of crime.
