Study of nature’s environment, including the basic systems of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere, and how they interact.

Course Outcomes
  1. Identify the tools, vocabulary, and methodology of physical geography.
  2. Describe the processes which create and shape the earth’s atmosphere, lithosphere, biosphere, and hydrosphere.
  3. Describe the processes which create and shape the earth’s surface in terms of earth materials, plate tectonics, and diastrophic forces.
  4. Assess regional weather and climate patterns across the earth.
  5. Analyze the effect of human activity on the geomorphology of the earth.
