MAS-2020 Clinical Procedures I Credits 4 Theory and skills required to function in the clinical setting. Focus is on health, wellness, and health promotion for the entire life span. Apply learned concepts in the clinical laboratory, including medication calculation and administration, sterile procedures and aseptic technique, electrocardiogram, health measurements and metrics, and assisting with clinical procedures. Strong emphasis on clinical documentation, infection control, and the guidelines pertaining to safe practice in the clinical setting. Students are required to perform select procedures on each other during college laboratory. Prerequisite(s): HIM-1530 , MAS-1100 with grade of C or higher. 3 class/3 lab hours. (Offered fall only.)

- Analyze modes of communication in the clinical setting.
- Obtain body measurement metrics.
- Categorize the disease processes commonly treated in an ambulatory care facility.
