PAR-2550 Real Estate Law

A study of the law in relation to the sale and transfer of title in real estate transactions.
Prerequisite(s): Reading proficiency.
Note: This course is not designed to meet Maryland real estate licensure requirements.
Course Outcomes
  1. Discuss the basic concepts of real property law and real estate transactions.
  2. Evaluate the various rights associated with ownership of real property.
  3. Explain the concepts of titles, sales contracts, the sale process, real estate financing options, and the closing and settlement process.
  4. Analyze the roles and responsibilities of the paralegal while assisting a real estate attorney.
