Participation in a small ensemble concentrating on commercial vocal music performance styles.
Required for students taking applied instrumental lessons. May be repeated for up to 4 credits
Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: Ability to read & perform from sheet music.
Course Outcomes
- Demonstrate basic vocal techniques suitable for an ensemble
- Demonstrate a growth in the performance of vocal ensemble playing as found in a traditional printed score and through improvisation
- Demonstrate emotions musically, in the appropriate style that is found in the ensemble literature that is being studied
