Required for students taking applied instrumental lessons. May be repeated for up to 4 credits Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: Ability to read & perform from sheet music.
Course Outcomes
- Demonstrate through performance basic instrumental playing techniques suitable for an ensem
- Demonstrate through performance a growth in the performance of instrumental ensemble playing as found in a traditional printed score and through improvisation
- Through performance, express the emotions musically, in the appropriate style that is found in the ensemble literature that is being studied
- Perform as an instrumentalist in a presentation given by the class as the end of the semester
