BMT-2510 Introduction to Source Selection Credits 3 Experiencing the source selection process, developing a source selection plan, proposal preparation and evaluation. Content of course includes best and final offer (BAFO), invitation for bid (IFB), types of source selection, cooperative purchasing, performance base contracting, best value procurement and open solicitations. Formerly offered as MGT 2510. Students may not receive credit for both MGT 2510 and BMT 2510. Prerequisite(s): Reading readiness Formerly Formerly MGT-2510. Students may not receive credit for both MGT-2510 and BMT-2510. Course Outcomes
- Define Source Selection and its component parts.
- Identify the critically important planning issues.
- Identify the preparation, issuance and amendment of requests for and receipt of proposals.
- Construct the process for evaluating proposals.
- Interpret the rules for exchange of information between the government and offers after the receipt of proposals.
- Explain the process for and rules about selecting the contractor, including the analysis of non-price/price tradeoffs, notifications, debriefing, and protests.
