CHM-2070 Survey of Biochemistry Credits 3 An interdisciplinary examination of living systems at the chemical level. Topics include structure and function of macromolecules, with an emphasis on protein structure and enzyme function, cellular energetics, and cellular respiration. Prerequisite(s): BIO-1140 and CHM-2010. Course Outcomes
- Analyze connections between biological and chemical systems.
- Explain the importance of water to molecular structures and cellular functions.
- Describe the flow of energy through cells using mathematical and thermodynamic terminology.
