CSM-1510 Residential Construction Management Credits 3 An overview of the residential construction process, from concept through design, finance and construction, to turnover. This course is aimed at the owner/builder and is designed to explain his/her role in each step of the process. Course Outcomes
- Create a set of plans and specifications for a complete residential construction project – site prep, concrete, framing, plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Create valid, enforceable contracts and subcontracts.
- Choose the proper form of insurance for a particular construction process.
- Demonstrate the impact of specifications on a construction project budget.
- Schedule the construction process.
- For a given residential construction project, make an informed choice between an owner-managed or contractor-managed project.
- Create a complete budget, with contingencies, for an entire residential construction project.
- Determine the best method for financing a given residential project.
