CSM-1850 Construction Quality Control


Credits 3
General overview of the contractor’s quality control (QC) as it pertains to each trade on the job. Includes documentation, support, and the interaction between construction and QC.
Course Outcomes
  1. Describe the technical requirements, as relates to quality, of the project plans and specifications.
  2. Create a comprehensive Quality Control Plan, for a project, that goes from the inception of a project through completion (turnover).
  3. Create a testing program to insure that quality goals are met.
  4. Create a system for reviewing, approving, and processing all required submittals.
  5. Create a daily written record of the work performed and the quality control measures taken each day.
  6. Create a technical library to assess the quality aspects of plans, submissions, and work performed.
  7. Describe the quality issues that relate to each of the trades – masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical.
