CJT-2560 Terrorism and Biosecurity Credits 3 A survey of historical, current and future acts of foreign and domestic terrorism. Emphasis is placed on the threat of terrorism, both nationally and internationally, weapons of mass destruction, and biological, chemical, nuclear and cyber agents. Includes investigative methods and procedures and the development of response plans. Prerequisite(s): Reading Readiness. Course Outcomes
- Discuss the historical development and global impact of foreign and domestic terrorism and biological, chemical, nuclear and cyber Weapons of Mass Destruction.
- Evaluate the types of biological agents that can cause illness and death.
- Describe terrorist ideologies, strategies and tactics.
- Analyze techniques and strategies for preventing and combatting terrorism.
