Comprehensive study of the biological, physiological, developmental, and social aspects of human sexuality from a multicultural perspective. Topics include male/female sexual physiology, response cycle, gender issues, contraception and abortion, conception/fertility issues, relationship sexuality, sexually transmitted infections, sexual dysfunction and treatment, and sexual harassment and coercion issues.
Course Outcomes
  1. Identify male and female anatomy related to reproduction and sexual response.
  2. Analyze gender issues in various societies.
  3. Evaluate issues related to sexual orientation.
  4. Evaluate a variety of family planning methods.
  5. Compare and contrast the cause, symptoms, and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
