MUS-1030 Concert Choir Credits 1 The Concert Choir course is a non-auditioned mixed chorus where students explore and perform choral literature selected from the Renaissance Period to the present. Students develop musical skills such as accurate pitch, diction, phrasing, musicality, balance, blend, vocal production, and correct period practices.
*Voice students must take this course 3 times over 3 separate semesters. 3 lab hours. Course Outcomes
- Demonstrate basic singing techniques including posture, breathing, resonance, vowel formation and diction.
- Demonstrate correct ensemble rehearsal/performance techniques.
- Express the emotions vocally and musically that are found in the choral literature.
- Perform music in choral style notation.
