MUS-1500 Introduction to Music Technology Credits 3 This course is an introduction to the various technologies used in music performance, composition, notation, recording, distribution, and education. Students examine the impact of these technologies on music history, culture, and society. Students learn how basics of sound, acoustics, MIDI technology, and the Digital Audio Workstation can create music of all types and styles. This course also covers the trends of copyright laws and protections pertinent to the music industry. Course Outcomes
