PAS-1000 First Year Experience Credits 1 This course assists incoming students in making a successful transition to college. Students focus on those behaviors and attitudes that are needed to achieve academic success. Students learn specific academic success skills/strategies and discover resources that are necessary to succeed in their college courses. Students engage in an exploration of the programs of study offered and design goals for learning that lead to an educational and career/professional plan. Prerequisite(s): DVR-0051 or equivalent placement test score. Course Outcomes 1. Develop goals and an action plan for academic major and career field exploration.
2. Examine specific academic survival skills and campus resources in a variety of academic situations.
