INT-2240 Introduction to Python Credits 3 In this course, students learn the concepts, principles, techniques, and tools needed for developing scripts and programs in Python. Students who successfully complete the course are able to write Python programs using features such as loops, branching structures, lists, tuples, dictionaries, libraries, and object-oriented programming. Course projects include real-life applications. Prerequisite(s): INT-1111 Course Outcomes
- Describe the program execution process including compilation and interpretation.
- Use basic Python tools including control statements, loops, and logical operators.
- Process input/output data, including text and other data types.
- Use functions in multi-module multi-library programs.
- Build real-life programs using object-oriented programming techniques and tools.
- Write scripts to automate tasks related to systems and security administration, including through a command-line interface.
