INT-2674 Check Point Certified Security Engineering

This course provides an understanding of basic concepts and skills necessary to configure the Check Point Security Gateway and configure Security Policies. Learners in this course build the ability to install, configure, and manage Check Point Security Gateway and Management Software Blade systems on the GAiA operating system. Using a hands-on approach, the course teaches students to defend against network threats, assess current security policies, monitor network activities, and much more. It helps prepare learners to take the Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) and Check Point Certified Expert (CCSE) industry certifications.
Prerequisite(s): INT-1620- Security+ Preparation
Course Outcomes
  1. Install Check Point security management architecture and a security gateway in a distributed environment
  2. Configure objects, rules, and settings to define a security policy
  3. Manage user access to corporate LANs and monitor suspicious network activities and analyze attacks
  4. Configure a virtual private network, including Check Point clustering
  5. Perform periodic administrator tasks including network connection troubleshooting and Check Point backup techniques
