THE-2805 Capstone


Credits 3
THE 2805 provides students studying Theatre Performance, Theatre Design, Entertainment Technology, or Dance the opportunity to successfully converge their level of competency into a collaborative performance through a cornerstone role in a Performing Art or Entertainment Technology Event. Exploration in applying established professional canon are undertaken. This course should be taken in the student’s final semester. This course consists of a lecture component (2 hours each week) and a laboratory session (2 hours each week).
Prerequisite(s): Either THE-1301 THE-1401, THE-1501, DAN 1020 or DAN 1021, or DAN 1001 or DAN 1002 completed with a C or higher, or concurrent enrollment in THE-1301, THE-1401 , THE-1501 , DAN 1020 or DAN 1021, or DAN 1001 o DAN 1002, or with permission of the Department of Humanities.
Course Outcomes
 

  1. Explain the hierarchical organization of a Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology event.
  2. Demonstrate the techniques required for the student to execute a position within a Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology event.
  3. Evaluate the students’ performance within a Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology event.
  4. Perform a position within a Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology Event.
  5. Describe a proactive application of Performing Arts or Entertainment Technology regarding a positive social change.
