BMT-1300 Ethics, Social Responsibility, and Social Justice in Business Credits 3 This course is designed to examine ethical issues and dilemmas facing contemporary businesses. The course covers management’s ethical and social responsibilities and the need for awareness of social justice in management practices and business activities. Orientation to an ethical decision-making framework is explored. Prerequisite(s): Reading readiness. Course Outcomes 1. Examine the role of ethics and social responsibility in a business environment 2. Identify the social, environmental, and cultural context of the business environment 3. Explore ethical decision-making and corporate social responsibility frameworks 4. Discuss how ethical issues within business management and social responsibility interrelate 5. Articulate the potential effects of issues in business ethics on personal, managerial, and corporate decisions 6. Relate social justice and business activities, including management practices
