ART-1780 Digital Photography I Credits 3 This course is a general introduction to the terms and technologies employed in digital photography. Students will utilize digital cameras, scan film and photographs, manipulate images, and produce finished prints with laser and inkjet printers. Students must have access to a digital or 35mm camera for use in this course. Formerly (Formerly ART-2580 . Students may not receive credit for both ART-ART-2580 and ART-1780.) 6 studio hours. Course Outcomes
- Use digital cameras and scanned film in the production of work.
- Select appropriate file management methodologies.
- Use raster software to manipulate digital photographs.
- Create original digital photographs.
- Prepare photographs for presentation: printing, matting, and framing.
- Describe a digital photograph’s subject, form, content, and technique.
