ART-2550 Sculpture II Credits 3 This course offers the student the opportunity to more thoroughly explore concepts of three-dimensional art. Emphasis is placed on independent selection of materials and their aesthetic implications and how they relate to contemporary sculptural images. Prerequisite(s): ART-1550 6 studio hours. Course Outcomes
- Utilize advanced sculpture vocabulary.
- Create original sculptures from drawings to completed works using a variety of techniques, tools, and materials.
- Operate shop and foundry equipment correctly and safely.
- Critique artwork in depth, focusing on subject, form, construction techniques, and content.
- Analyze artwork in depth, focusing on subject, form, construction techniques, and content.
