ART-2670 3-D Digital Modeling and Animation Credits 3 Focus is on three-dimensional modeling and animation techniques, with an emphasis on creativity, originality, and experimentation. Various software packages will be used to create 3-D stills and animated sequences complete with sound and special effects. A survey of modeling techniques and examples from a variety of industries will be provided. Students also will be expected to have an aptitude for learning a variety of software packages. Prerequisite(s): ART-1570. 6 studio hours. Course Outcomes
- Demonstrate a working vocabulary of the design and digital media terminology applicable to raster/vector applications, composition, and multimedia.
- Construct basic 3-D objects.
- Design 3-D environments.
- Create 3-D still renderings.
- Prepare brief animations for assembly into digital movies.
- Assemble an entry-level portfolio of images, objects, and movies.
