BIO-1080 Reproductive Biology Credits 4 An examination of biological principles and contemporary issues in reproductive biology. Demonstration of critical thinking, reasoning, and writing skills is expected. Prerequisite(s): Reading Readiness 3 class/3 lab hours. Course Outcomes
- Describe DNA replication and modes of gene transmission in the process of cellular reproduction.
- Discuss interactions between the physical world and biological populations.
- Analyze disease models in view of underlying principles of reproductive anatomy and physiology.
- Interpret biological traits and behavior through the applications of evolutionary principles of natural and sexual selection.
- Apply the scientific method to reproductive system problem solving and case study analysis.
