The elements of logic: how to translate ordinary language into logical form and craft valid arguments. 
Prerequisite(s): Reading readiness
Course Outcomes
  1. Differentiate arguments from non-arguments.  
  2. Distinguish deductive from inductive arguments.
  3. Distinguish fallacious arguments from non-fallacious arguments.  
  4. For fallacious arguments determine which fallacy is committed. 
  5. Utilize rules of categorical logic to determine the validity of categorical syllogisms.
  6. Use truth tables and/or formal proofs to determine the logical validity within propositional logic.
