TRF-2330 Television Production II Credits 3 Television production emphasizing field production and editing. This hands-on course includes instruction on the use of field cameras, location lighting, and audio equipment to produce several projects, as well as best practices in producing and directing on location. Students learn the field production process from concept to completion, including idea creation, pre-production, maintaining production notebooks, script breakdowns, basic scripts/outlines, scheduling, basic budgets, production, and post-production techniques. Prerequisite(s): TRF-1330 or permission of department. 3 class/2 lab hours. Course Outcomes
- Explain the pre-production, production and post-production processes in video production
- Produce a video project on location
- Maintain a production notebook
- Develop a budget for a project
- Prepare a script or outline and storyboard for a project
- Construct a shooting schedule for a project
- Operate lights, camera, and sound production equipment to shoot a scene on location
- Assemble (edit) the footage recorded into a finished project
