ENT-1600 Introduction to CAD with AutoCAD

Techniques for creating, editing, annotating and presenting two-dimensional CAD drawings. This credit course may also be taken as a continuing education course TEC-981 Introduction to CAD with AutoCAD.

Course Outcomes
  1. Use AutoCAD software to create two-dimensional drawings from the toolbar, menu, command line, and command aliases.
  2. Use multiple layers effectively and appropriately.
  3. Compare and contrast the use of AutoCAD’s various coordinate systems, such as UCS, Cartesian, absolute, relative, and vector.
  4. Create professional, scaled prints of drawings from model and paper space.
  5. Create a complex, multi-view, multi-layer, fully annotated two-dimensional drawing.
