RAD-1550 Clinical Radiography III 4 Credits Third course in the clinical education component of the program. Expands upon knowledge and skills from previous clinical education courses. Supervised, competency-based clinical education with emphasis on application of comprehensive didactic knowledge and demonstration of proficiency in clinical practice. Emphasis on radiographic procedures covered during RAD-1410 and RAD-1420 . Prerequisite(s): RAD-1420 , RAD-1540 , and RAD-1500 . 4 days/8 hours. RAD courses are offered in fall, spring, and summer sessions. The program admits a new group of students every fall semester. A minimum grade of C or higher must be achieved in all prerequisites and core courses to enter and remain in the program. The course content within the Radiography Program is divided into the following modules: Module I: Radiation Protection Module II: Equipment Operation and Quality Control Module III: Image Production and Evaluation Module IV: Radiographic Procedures Module V: Patient Care and Education Module VI: Clinical Radiography Each course encompasses a combination of modules designed to develop and expand the didactic and clinical knowledge base of radiography.
