RAD-2540 Clinical Radiography V


4 Credits
Final course in the clinical education component of the program. Expands upon knowledge and skills from previous clinical education courses. Supervised, competency-based clinical education with emphasis on application of comprehensive didactic knowledge and demonstration of proficiency in clinical practice. This course serves as the culminating experience for the program, ensuring that graduates are prepared for entry-level positions in the field of radiography.
Prerequisite(s): RAD-2410 , RAD-2530 , and RAD-2580 ; RAD-2420  and RAD-2440  concurrent.
Capstone Course(s): Students must complete a minimum of 51 credits, including all prerequisite courses, prior to enrolling in this course. 2 days/8 hours.
RAD courses are offered in fall, spring, and summer sessions. The program admits a new group of students every fall semester. A minimum grade of C or higher must be achieved in all prerequisites and core courses to enter and remain in the program. The course content within the Radiography Program is divided into the following modules: Module I: Radiation Protection Module II: Equipment Operation and Quality Control Module III: Image Production and Evaluation Module IV: Radiographic Procedures Module V: Patient Care and Education Module VI: Clinical Radiography Each course encompasses a combination of modules designed to develop and expand the didactic and clinical knowledge base of radiography.
