Health Sciences Certificate

Program Description

The Health Sciences Certificate program provides students with the foundational courses required for an Allied Health or Nursing program at Prince George’s Community College. Developed in collaboration with other Maryland community colleges, the certificate also meets the needs of students who plan to study and transfer to a college or a university that grants a degree in various areas of Health Sciences.

Program Outcomes

Graduates of this program will be able to:

1. Write in standard English at the college level
2. Use qualitative and quantitative reasoning to interpret, analyze, and solve problems
3. Use mathematical concepts and methods with an emphasis on real world applications
4. Examine the impact culture has on communication and behavior
