Health Sciences Certificate

Program Description

The Health Sciences Certificate program provides students with the foundational courses required for an Allied Health or Nursing program at Prince George’s Community College. Developed in collaboration with other Maryland community colleges, the certificate also meets the needs of students who plan to study and transfer to a college or a university that grants degrees in various areas of Health Sciences.

Program Outcomes

Graduates of this program will be able to:

1. Write in standard English at the college level.
2. Use mathematical concepts and methods with an emphasis on real world applications.
3. Examine the impact culture has on communication and behavior.
4. Evaluate relationships between structure and function of human body systems.

Sequence of Study

Please note that the sequence does not include the English co-requisite course (EGL-0100S ) or any co-requisite MAT courses (MAT-0113C , MAT-0114C , MAT-0125C  and MAT-0135C  ).
