BMT-2882 Health Care Management

Explores basic concepts of management theory as applied to health care. Students will examine the structure of the health care delivery system and management functions such as planning, organizing, directing and controlling. They also will approach health care from a systems and efficiency perspective. Emphasis also will be placed on the need for cost controls as a way of ensuring quality health care.
Prerequisite(s): Reading proficiency.
