TED-2400 Language Arts in Early Childhood Education

Focuses on understanding the developmental progression of language development in young children, explores strategies for creating an environment which strengthens children’s emerging literacy skills, and identifies methods and materials for teaching young children pre-literacy and literacy skills and concepts. Students will plan and implement developmentally appropriate literacy and pre-literacy units, lessons, and activities for young children in a variety of educational settings.
Prerequisite(s): TED-1100, TED-1110, TED-1200, TED-1300, and TED-1400.
All TED courses must be passed with a grade of C or higher.
