Prerequisite(s): EGL-1020, EGL-1100, EGL-1320, or EGL-1340.

Course Outcomes

Identify significant authors and analyze works and genres of British literature from its beginnings to the end of the 18th century, applying literary terms and concepts.
Analyze significant works as literature and in terms of their cultural, social, and political contexts.
Write an analytical essay that addresses a relevant topic in British literature with correctly documented sources.
