SPN-2010 Intermediate Spanish I Credits 3 Intermediate Spanish I, SPN 2010, is a third semester Spanish class that focuses on skills development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish, along with cultural elements from the Spanish-speaking world. Prerequisite(s): SPN-1020 or three years of high school Spanish or equivalent. Spanish courses meet for 3 class hours and 1 additional lab hour per week or equivalent. (Not offered summer.)
Course Outcomes 1. Communicate in spoken Spanish in all tenses using expressions and vocabulary appropriate to the intermediate level.
2. Listen to spoken intermediate Spanish in all tenses for comprehension.
3. Read intermediate Spanish in all tenses for comprehension.
4. Apply intermediate knowledge of Spanish sentence structure and grammar in all tenses to write a topical paragraph.
5. Examine examples of culture and civilization in the Spanish-speaking world.
