SPN-2040 Advanced Conversation

SPN 2040 focuses on advanced practice for students who wish to develop fluency and confidence speaking Spanish.
Prerequisite(s): SPN-2010 or four years of high school Spanish or equivalent. Native Spanish speakers welcome with permission of the department.
Spanish courses meet for 3 class hours and 1 additional lab hour per week or equivalent.
(Not offered summer.)

Course Outcomes

Communicate in spoken Spanish in all tenses using expressions and vocabulary related to culture and civilization.
Read intermediate Spanish with a special focus on cultural topics in all tenses for comprehension.
Express an opinion in Spanish.
Support an opinion in Spanish.
Debate issues and cultural topics of the Spanish-speaking world.
