SPN-2040 Advanced Conversation Credits 3 SPN 2040 focuses on advanced practice for students who wish to develop fluency and confidence speaking Spanish. Prerequisite(s): SPN-2010 or four years of high school Spanish or equivalent. Native Spanish speakers welcome with permission of the department. Spanish courses meet for 3 class hours and 1 additional lab hour per week or equivalent. (Not offered summer.)
Course Outcomes
- Communicate in spoken Spanish in all tenses using expressions and vocabulary related to culture and civilization.
- Read intermediate Spanish with a special focus on cultural topics in all tenses for comprehension.
- Express an opinion in Spanish.
- Support an opinion in Spanish.
- Debate issues and cultural topics of the Spanish-speaking world.
