TRF-2330 Television Production II

Television production emphasizing field production and editing.  This hands-on course includes instruction on the use of field cameras, location lighting, and audio equipment to produce several projects, as well as best practices in producing and directing on location.
Prerequisite(s): TRF-1330  or permission of department.
3 class/2 lab hours.

Course Outcomes
  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the pre-production, production and post-production processes in video production.
  2. Produce a video project on location.
  3. Maintain a production notebook
  4. Develop a budget for the project
  5. Prepare a script or outline and storyboard for the project
  6. Construct a shooting schedule for the project.
  7. Operate lights, camera, and sound production equipment to shoot the scene on location.
  8. Assemble (edit) the footage recorded into the finished project
