NUM-2150 Clinical Nuclear Medicine V Credits 4 This is the fifth and final clinical experience course in the program. In this course, students perform routine and non-routine nuclear medicine procedures with the highest level of independence and competence. Students demonstrate their readiness for entering the workforce as entry-level nuclear medicine technologists. Prerequisite(s): NUM-2140 . Corequisite(s): NUM-2140 . Course Outcomes
- Independently perform all nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures (routine and non-routine).
- Apply critical thinking skills to obtain diagnostic images on patient with special needs
- Calculate radiopharmaceutical dosages and CT exposure parameters for pediatric patients.
- Troubleshoot imaging and non-imaging equipment malfunctions and errors.
- Demonstrate preparedness for national certification exams.
