Emphasis is placed on students’ personal study of subject matter and research through a body of paintings that explore traditional and contemporary watercolor practices and include different stages and development of a concept from studies to a final painting. Students expand their understanding of color concepts, color mixing, manipulation of space, and representation of observed or invented forms. Students expanded their use of tools, materials, and application of watercolor media. They continue to practice the appropriate preparation, care, and disposal of watercolor related materials.
