Program Description
The Real Estate Letter of Recognition (LOR) provides students with the knowledge necessary to take the real estate salesperson licensing examination and the ability to analyze potential real estate investments. Students passing the Real Estate Principles and Practices course (BRE-1030 ) may apply to take the Maryland Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Examination. BRE-1030 is 60 classroom hours in length. The Real Estate Finance and Investment course (BRE-2030 ) includes cash-flow forecasting, financing, tax implications, and timing of property disposal as related to investing in real estate. BRE-2030 is 45 classroom hours in length. Credits earned for the Real Estate LOR may be applied as electives to the Business Management A.A.S. degree.
