Program Description

In the Marketing Management, A.A.S. degree program, students learn how marketing affects organizations, their customers, and the global environment. They analyze how different legal, ethical, social, and technological viewpoints impact marketing decision-making as well as how these components interact. Students analyze marketing strategies and how to use these to make informed decisions that will improve the organization based on a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis. Additionally, they blend these individual decisions into a basic marketing plan and evaluate the effectiveness of both their own plans and the integrated plans developed by organizations. Students also examine financial and managerial risk factors and how these impact strategic management processes to improve outcomes.  Lastly, students prepare financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This degree prepares students for entry level positions such as a business marketing specialist, digital marketing specialist, or public relations specialist.
