HIM-2520 Principles and Applications of ICD Coding II 3 Credits Provides students with advance training in medical coding with emphasis on inpatient and ambulatory coding in various health care facilities. Students will utilize coding technology and resources to audit and review data collected. Prerequisite(s): HIM-1600 with grade of C or higher; HIM-2600 and HIM-2511 concurrent. NOTE: *Courses in the HIM program must be taken in a prescribed sequence. HIM courses are offered once per year in the fall or spring except for HIM-1530 which is offered every semester. A grade of C or higher must be maintained in all core program and required science courses. Program prerequisites require a C or higher.
