This course extends the introductory strength of materials to intermediate continuum mechanics. Other topics include statically indeterminate and temperature effect analysis; beam, column, and pressure vessel configurations. More advanced topics include structural stability, analysis of one- and two-dimensional structures, inelastic material behavior, and energy methods. Prerequisite(s): EGR-1010 and EGR-2200 with a grade of C or higher. Note: A grade of C or higher is required for any course used to satisfy a prerequisite for any other course. (Offered fall only.)
