HUM-1980 Artistic and Cultural Experiences

This course is an exploration of artistic and cultural experiences in the form of plays, musical and dance performances, art exhibits, films, and/or lectures. The instructional time is divided between attending a number of cultural events, reflecting and writing about them, and discussing (with the instructor) what was learned from attending the cultural events. All three are required to complete this course successfully: event participation, write-ups, and discussions.
Course Outcomes

Review a variety of artistic and cultural events in the Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities (for example: plays, musical and/or dance performances, art and/or historical exhibits, and culturally and/or historically relevant films, lectures, and/or podcasts).
Describe how artistic and cultural experiences affect people on individual and societal levels.
