INT-1290 Beginning Microsoft Word Credits 1 Beginning Microsoft Word is an introductory course that emphasizes the effective use of word processing applications and features. Students manage documents in Microsoft Word and manipulate style elements such as font and paragraph. Additionally, students insert various elements, such as end and foot notes, bibliographies, tables, pictures, and text boxes. Students collaborate with others on documents though commenting and editing with track changes. This course helps prepare students for Microsoft Office Specialist certification exams. Prerequisite(s): Reading Readiness . Formerly (Formerly offered as CIS-1290. Students may not receive credit for both CIS-1290 and INT-1290.) 1 class/1 lab hour. Course Outcomes 1. Manage documents by saving, naming, and retrieving.
2. Edit documents
3. Insert tables and graphic elements
4. Create various references including end notes, foot notes, citation, and bibliography.
5. Review documents through comments and track changes.
