INT-2460 CCNA III: Enterprise Networks, Security & Automation Credits 3 This is the final course in a three-course sequence preparing students for Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. This course introduces students to the design, configuration, security and troubleshooting of Enterprise Networks and the network technologies needed for implementing converged networks to meet the changing needs of today’s Networks. Upon completion of this course students will be able to configure Single-Area Open Shortest Path First (OSPFv2), IPv4 Access Control Lists (ACLs), IPv4 and IPv6 Network Address Translation (NAT), IP Security (IPSec), Wide Area Network (WAN) and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). They will also be able to implement network monitoring and management using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), Quality of Service (QoS), Network Time Protocol (NTP), Syslog, Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP), Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) and various networking trends like Software Defined Networking (SDN), cloud, virtualization and network automation. Students successfully completing this course should be prepared to take the Cisco CCNA certification.
This course charges an additional fee. Prerequisite(s): INT-2450 (formerly ENT-1960 ) with grade of C or higher. Formerly (Formerly offered as ENT-1970 . Students may not receive credit for both ENT-1970 and INT-2460.) 3 class/2 lab hours. Course Outcomes
- Explain how wide area network (WAN) access technologies can be used to meet business requirements.
- Configure Single-Area OSPFv2.
- Explain how VPNs and lPSec are used to secure remote access connectivity.
- Configure IPv4 Access Control Lists (ACLs) and Network Address Translation (NAT).
- Implement network management protocols like CDP, LLDP, NTP, SNMP and/or Syslog protocols to monitor, examine operations and troubleshoot operational problems.
- Explain the purpose and characteristics of Network virtualization.
- Explain how Network automation is enabled through RESTful APIs and configuration management tools.
- Implement a multi-router, multi-switch network, based on a design.
