INT-2850 Server-Side Web Development Credits 3 Building on the knowledge gained in INT-1850 on how to develop Web pages on the client side, students learn how to do server-side Web development using PHP, an open-source scripting language, and MYSQL, an open-source database system. Students learn to create and modify Web pages dynamically by executing server-side PHP scripts. Additionally, students learn to set up queries to a relational database system to provide data requested through HTML forms. Prerequisite(s): INT-1850 with grade of C or higher. Formerly (Formerly INT-1860. Students may not receive credit for both INT-1860 and INT-2850.) 2 class/2 lab hours. Course Outcomes
- Differentiate between server-side and client-side Web development.
- Create PHP scripts.
- Develop Web pages dynamically.
- Examine a PHP script’s syntax and logic for errors.
- Describe how an HTML form retrieves user-requested data.
